I'm currently reading (and loving!) Daughter of the Forest, and I was wondering if you could tell me how you pronounce Padraic? I asked a couple Irish friends online, but they had different answers, so I assume there might different ways to say it depending on the region. One of them said it was 'Porrick/Porrig' and the other said 'Pawdrick'. Is it one of those, or something else? Thanks!

Great question, Alison! There are lots of ways of spelling this name, and depending on which one you use it may be pronounced differently including both the pronunciations your friends supplied. Also I think it may depend on where you live in Ireland - I know that happened when I asked people how to pronounce Sorcha! I think Porrig or Pawrig is about right. (Note, in the book I spelled the name incorrectly as Padriac. A long story, based on my being a newbie at that point and not having the luxury of online research at my fingertips, and my editor not realising it was wrong.)

Hello Juliet! I was very sorry last year because I miss your visit here, Portugal, and I would have loved to have met you; Sevenwaters series is definately one of my favorites. Would consider to come again, someday? Thank you very much for your attention and good work. Rita

Juliet, both your series of Blackthorn and Grim, plus the Warrior Bard series are just great stories. I really feel that a good map is essential to both of these sets of books and reader's enjoyment. Why is there no map in the Blackthorn and Grim and 3 Warrior Bard novels books?

When I first read your Sevenwaters Trilogy (at that time it was only 3) I loved the fairy tale inspiration used; whilst the novel still told it's own story in it's own way. There has recently been a surge of fairy tale 're-tellings' for Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, & others. I'm wondering if you were to pick another Grimm fairy tale to use for a basis of a story, like you did with Six Swans, what would it be?
