I just finished listening to the book Alka! First, thank you so much! You made me feel like I had traveled to India. Which I would love to do some day. :) Lakshmi is such a richly, detailed character. I felt for her and everything she went through. You truly brought her to life. Hello Alka, I am so excited to have found your novels. I started with "The Henna Artist" and loved it so much that I read your next novel chronologically, "The Perfumist of Paris". Your writing is magical. It draws the reader into the story and I totally forget where I am when I'm reading your novels. The way you capture the emotions and motivations of your characters is amazing! I could go on and on ?
