Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Yumi Cox I like to write character-driven stories. The transgender community is full of inspiring individuals who have traveled interesting paths to be who they are. I mostly find these individuals on social media. My latest story is about a ballet dancer who transitions. While the story is original and from my imagination, the charcater is inspired by a real life transgender woman living in New York.
