Hi Jodi, I have just finished your latest book Plan for the Worst and thoroughly enjoyed every word of it. Another brilliant read. I wonder if you could set my mind right on a couple of queries. Firstly I was a bit confused about Mathew Farrell, who was working for the Time Police in the previous book but is back to being a much younger schoolboy in the latest book. Also how could Markham be removed from 1483?

Hi Christine, thanks for your questions. To take them in order, Doing Time is set in the future. Matthew has grown up and is embarking on adult life. Plan for the Worst is set before that and he's still a child. Markham was able to be removed from 1483 because he was about to die therefore he would have no impact on the future. He's like the pine cone in Just One Damned Thing. He was allowed to remain because Dr Bairstow took him to the Time Police. His argument was that Markham was inextricably linked to St Mary's and the Time Police. If they sent him back to die they would be changing their own pasts. I hope this answers your questions. So pleased you enjoyed the book. Take care and stay safe, Jodi.

Hi Jodi, I discovered your St Mary's books late last year. I've since read them all. I ADORE them. They are an absolute joy (except for the one, you know the one, with events so painful it just about killed me, but even then it was still a great book). I just wanted to ask if you'll continue writing more? I really really hope so. I recommend them to everyone & would love to read more more more.
