I was just a few years too young to get involved in the cultural upheaval of the sixties, but the era has always fascinated me. I wanted to write a character who had experienced Woodstock, the Jesus People movement, communal living, and the Vietnam War fallout. I loved writing Shawny's story in first person alongside Serena Devon's contemporary story as she meets a handsome stranger who she discovers is not a stranger at all and they work together to uncover Shawny's secrets.
