Hi there :) I just issued Blade of Fortriu from the library and if the edition I'm borrowing there is no map of Fortriu. Just wondering if there are any available maps that go with this book (it was super helpful looking at the map while I read The Dark Mirror) and whether there is a way for me to access them. Also wondered if there's a character pronunciation guide as well?
Juliet Marillier
Hi Joanna. The Australian trade paperback editions of The Dark Mirror and Blade of Fortriu did have maps at the front, and character lists but not pronunciations. Somewhere in the archives I may have files of those maps but it was a long while ago and I would have a lot of trouble finding them. I'll see if I can track anything down. I could take a photo of the printed page but I don't think the quality would be good enough (thick printed book, map across a double spread.) I will ask my webmistress if she can find them as she does somewhere have a record of my old website. I know we have put the Wolfskin and Foxmask maps and notes up on the relevant website page as a download.
Re pronunciations, I don't think there's a complete list anywhere, but if there are any particular names you want to know, just ask me and I will do my best!

Ms. Marillier, I know it has been stated many times before, but let me start off with how amazing and transporting your books are to us readers. Caitrin is my favorite character (along with Liaden) & HB is my favorite book; would you ever consider writing a book related to HB in some way? I would love to see what happened to Caitrin and Anluan. Thank you for your wonderful books, they all are great treasures to me.

Just finished cybele’s secret and I so wish there was another book! Is this something you may self publish? I think this series came out right before these types of books got huge! I love the story of the sisters and the other world and the romance!! What an amazing read to both! I started wildwood dancing when I was 14 and I wish I knew there was a second book back then! Not enough advertisement went throughs it!

Dear Juliet, I am almost finished the 3rd book in the Bridei Trilogy and I think it is obvious that there is another story to tell. What happens to Ana and Drustan? They couldn't have lived happily ever after with so much to conquer when they went to Dunstan's home in the Catt lands.
