Goodreads asked Marc R. Micciola:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Marc R. Micciola Listening to my favorite soundtracks help. Watching a movie in the same genre as what I'm writing rejuvenates me too.

I think the biggest thing that can help when dealing with writer's block is this:

Every word written is another step closer to a finished book. If all you can get out is a paragraph, or a sentence, or maybe even only a word; it's all a step in the right direction.

Also, I think understanding that writing and editing need to be separate things. Too often people hit a writers block because they're editing/criticizing as they're writing and it's stunting their creativity. Just write and have fun doing it!
