Goodreads asked Raymond Cushing:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Raymond Cushing My books are character driven. It takes me from six months to a year to write one of my novels. During that time, the characters live in my mind. They have to be interesting and have some redeeming qualities for me to want them there. The few evil ones are always dealt with appropriately.
This last book began with an idea about a puzzle involving old human bones. I had a great time writing it as the plot evolved.
