Catherine, Given our current climate in a country so divided, lacking leadership that inspires & provides hope, escaping into your books is literally a life saver. I wanted to express my deep gratitude for your work. Every one of your novels I've hugged to my chest & thanked for giving me a place to go where the best of humanity exists. Your characters relationships remind me of the best things in life. (?)

Hi Rebecca. I can't tell you how deeply moved I was by your comments, and how much they made my morning. I'm painfully aware, as I think we all are, of how important it is to mitigate our current stresses and worries and to try to fee grounded and sane. That my books could be that in someone's life makes it all worthwhile. I promise to keep writing, and I believe better days are ahead. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with me. Be well.

Thank you for another great read (Stay). I devoured this book. How do you do it? I read a lot of books (check out my profile if you can) and I honestly think you are the best contemporary fiction writer publishing today. Your stories are so real and the emotions so raw. You put your readers right there with the characters. Sometimes I wish I could savor them just a bit more. Thank you.

I just finished your latest and am so proud of you for addressing such sensitive subjects. I didn't even know about the Japanese internment until I was an adult because like you said, "the recording of history is imperfect...the kind that people would just assume leave in the dust and forget". But we shouldn't ever forget. Thank you for all of your wonderful books. ?
