Hi I’m obsessed with your Blackthorn Key series. I’m am a little upset I have to wait until next year for the next book though. My question is: What gave you the idea to write the series and, what prompted you turn the idea in to a book?

Kevin Sands It occurred to me that apothecaries were pretty cool, since they used potions, and poisons, and secret codes, and things like that. And I thought that would make for a good story. So I started researching it, and from there I knew very quickly that this was the series I wanted to write.
