How do you deal with writer’s block?

Dixie Jackson By writing! If the characters are having a quiet day, I just turn to other writing business. I'll blog, work on blurbs, free-write, take notes. Sometimes the note taking is done on a nice long walk with my earbuds in tuned in to whatever music my characters would be listening to. By the end of the day, they're normally ready to rock and roll and knock out a few hundred words.
