My advice for aspiring writers is to view yourself as a writer. Claim the writer identity. That's step one. Say it out loud, then write. There's some reason you want to write - so do that. Remember that your voice is unique and special even if other people don't quite like it. The battleground is external versus internal validation. You can do it!
