Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

J.D. Kloosterman The Rules of Courtly Love I got when my graduate professor talked us through the Rules and I realized how many of them were totally applicable to relationships even in high school, and that all you would really need is a picture to make them clear.

My upcoming book, The Nephilim Protocol, I was looking through the YA section at the library and realized male protaganists were very outnumbered by the female ones. I conceived of a hero who I thought would represent modern sensibilities and tensions, and realized the ancient race of the Nephilim would fit perfectly.
