J.D. Kloosterman I'm working on the first book in my Solomon Code series, entitled, "The Nephilim Protocol." High schooler Chad Dickson is caught in a mass shooting but manages to take down the shooter with super-strength he didn't know he possessed. A government agency shows up to spirit Chad away, informing him that he's from a race of monsters known as the Nephilim, super-powerful creatures rumored to be descended from angels. At one point they ruled the world, but now the government keeps them trapped on Attu Island, far out from Alaska. Escape is impossible, but to stay means death, as a mysterious disease is killing off Chad's new classmates. Chad and his friends must work desperately to find a way off the island before the disease takes them.
