Much of your writing concerns Canada`s role in World War One; did you have an ancestor or perhaps a very close friend who served in that war?

Melina Druga Thanks for your question, Martin. My great-grandfather served in the war. My interest in Canada stems from the fact I knew what story I wanted to tell, but the United States wasn't involved in the war long enough for me to tell it. Also, it's a history many Americans don't know, but it's very facinating.
