Goodreads asked Carolyn Holland:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Carolyn Holland A book is created with an idea. Decide what you want to write about and make a commitment to write regularly, even if it is only one paragraph per day. Educate yourself about what it will take to get your book from the manuscript stage to a published work, i.e., editor, proofreader, cover designer and interior designer. Read the works of successful writers in your genre, but don’t be afraid to step away from the pack and create your own niche. Support other authors! We are all in this together. There is room for all of us to succeed. A book without readers, has less value that a stack of dead trees. Determine what marketing tools you intend to use to get your work out to the masses. And last, but not least, thank the Divine Creator daily for allowing you to do this outrageously marvelous thing!
