What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Heather Salter-Purves Some of the best things about being a writer can connect with other people through something as universal as a story. Standing in a store or on a public train are you see someone the book in the hand. It gives you an easy way to start up a conversation. On a more personal note being a writer allows me to work from home which in turn means I can watch my little girl grow up and we can explore story world's together, and I might be able to write stories for her to enjoy in the world.
