Goodreads asked Richard Pacheco:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Richard Pacheco I have never had writer's block, in fact suffer from the opposite, too many ideas, etc. to fit into a given time quota. So I don't know what to say about this. I think part of not having this is having been a journalist for 23 years. And when they want the story or the review,, they want it and there is no such thing as writer's block. Being a journalist is great training for any writer. You learn to train yourself to write all the time under any circumstances. There are no excuses or reason why yo cannot write as a journalist unless you re dying in a hospital of something--and iif it does not effect your fingers or you can still write so you can't avoid it that way.
