What is the hardest part about writing for you?

JLynn Autumn Fighting with my characters. There are times that I have a clear plan on where a story is going and the characters will want to take it in an entirely different direction. Sometimes those directions are completely outside my comfort zone and my natural response is to fight it. I have found the more I fight, the harder it is to write and I ended up caught in a circle of argument. I've had to really focus on knowing that even though I'm the author, it's my job to tell the character's story, and sometimes that means accepting that the story is going in a new direction.
