How do you get inspired to write?

Karen Kay This may seem like a silly answer, but I would suppose I get inspired to write because of my love for my husband, as well as my love for the American Indian culture of the past. Did you know that the name "Indian" (this comes from Pocahontas' tribe, by the way) came not from Columbus as we have been led to believe, but from the Indians, themselves. At the time, there were a lot of Spanish coming to their shores, and the Spanish gave them the name "Indio," I think that's the way it was spelled, meaning "god-like." I like that story.
