Matthew, I am so interested in your road trip experiences. I have seen some wild things while traveling and you’ve done a lot more of it than I have. Is there anything really ridiculous or insane that you’ve seen as a passerby/witness or while rubbernecking on the road? I loved your storytelling of people and places you’ve seen. Couldn’t stop laughing at the pipe fight between your dad and brother. Best, Alaina

I’ve met so many characters on the road and love to pick up a good “turn of phrase.” Language, and the colorful ways different people use it really excites me. Here’s a little excerpt I heard in Marfa, Tx.
I wanted to wander the local art galleries in Marfa today so I asked the concierge at the hotel I was staying in if he knew their hours of operation.
He said, “In Marfa sir, there’s no schedules, merely suggestions…trying to nail anyone down to an appointment’s like tryin to nail jello to the wall."

Hi Matthew, your book is very extraordinary and I continue to use it to inspire me. Not only does it contain deep meaningful moments but also many lifelong lessons of pain and love. In your book, you talk about greenlights almost in a surreal yet achieving way. During these moments were you ever anxious about greenlights suddenly turning red or do you find ways to prepare yourself for those moments?

Hi Matthew, I just loved your book...what a treat it was to read and an extra treat indeed to listen to you reading the audible version 😊. My question is, in the book you talk about stops and stays on your life journey. With the stops, did you know these were stops rather than stays at the time you were living them or just at the time when you were choosing to move on? Thanks so much!
