Hello! Thanks for reading my book. :)
Waiting For Unicorns was an exploration of grief for me, but also an exploration of Hope . . . I wrote it asking myself the questions: "What would become of me if something happened to those I love most?" And, "What would happen to those I love most, if something happened to me?"
I wanted to write a story that offered something beautiful to those who are hurting, especially kids.
There are all kinds of grief (big "G" and small "g"). We have all known and experienced them in one degree or another. I wanted to hold out a hand and offer a shoulder (in story form) to the certainty that better things are yet to come, even when the journey is hard.
There is always, always Hope. <3
