Goodreads asked Trevor Wiltzen:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Trevor Wiltzen Whenever I get into a writing or editing rut, I go to a coffee shop. I love the sights, the sounds, the bustle, and somehow it focuses me. I sit down with my cinnamon bun and coffee, pull out my laptop, and pause, taking it all in. My main character is a woman, and for some reason, her voice speaks to me, and I love her outlook on life. I feel this character controls my writing. All I need to do is let her loose in a scene, and then I need to type as fast as possible to keep up with what she says or does. It amazes me how this happens, and I can't explain why. I'm just glad and thankful it does.
