My co-editor knew that I worked in behavior and mental health and she asked to borrow books from me to read on Black mental health. I only had two. We did a search for more, and couldn't find many more. We decided to create the book that we were looking for instead.

I was raised in a home of mental and emotional instability. I have written my memoir, Cyanidation: The refinement of my life, which will be published this fall.
