A week ago, I received a notice I would be required to vote again for the President of the United States, this time in person rather than by mail ballot. When my turn came at the polling place, a Methodist Church with an outdoor patio, a soldier with her rifle at the ready escorted me to a booth and watched as I marked my ballot.
