Goodreads asked Shirrá Lynn:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Shirrá Lynn I deal in several ways. I continue to write and work on whatever I have in front of me, pushing through it...I know that if I'm pushing and making up a scene of scenario as I go...that's not the story, but it helps to keep me motivated and it gets work done on something that may become something more in the future. I read. Reading is essential for an author, and it can be anything, you never know where your inspiration will come from, plus it helps to build your vocabulary and see things from different points of view. I listen to music, it doesn't necessarily help with the block, but when the writing does happen music does help a lot with a scene.
