Being an aspiring writer myself (I am only in my early teens!) the only advice I personally can give is to read as much as possible and write. I am a habitual book worm and am always hooked into books by Jane Austen to the Bronte sisters! Along with that I always keep a diary and pen and just doddle around ideas experimenting with different tones and voices.
