Goodreads asked Janice Seagraves:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Janice Seagraves I've actually been suffering from Writer's Block for the last two years. It happened the day my step-dad had passed away. The stress was insane. I had to help my mom who was having a very hard time of it, poor thing. I also ended up moving her into my office and moved my office into my bedroom. Thank good for my new home with a large master.

With the type of Writer's Block I had, I couldn't write anything new. So I just worked on polishing my finished manuscripts and running them through my critique so I was able to keep busy.

Writer's Block broke the day I was complaining about not being about to write anything new, and my husband told me "Your step-dad died two years ago."

Funny thing, after hearing that I pick up exactly where I left off two years ago. I finished the same scene I was working that last time.

My desk is now right beside my bed. But that does have an upside. I can, literally, roll out of bed and turn on my computer and get to work.
