This might be for the larger group, but I can totally picture this book as a movie. I can see Kangana Ranaut as Parvati Singh, Dev Patel as Dr. Kumar, and maybe up-an-coming actresses as Lakshmi and Radha. This is just a fun way of saying I loved the book, Ms. Alka! Who might you picture in The Henna Artist film?

Alka Joshi I love your enthusiasm for The Henna Artist movie!! As it turns out, Miramax TV has optioned the rights to adapt the novel into an episodic TV series starring Freida Pinto as Lakshmi. Let's cross our fingers and toes that all goes as planned and we can binge for several seasons on it :-) Keep dreaming of rounding out the cast with your fave actors. Who knows? Maybe it will come true :-D.

Hi Alka! Was so looking forward to your third book of the trilogy and it did not disappoint at all! Read it in less than 24 hours, just couldn't put it down. The recipes at the end where a great surprise bonus. I also just wanted to bring to your attention two small errors in the french used? "à ton santé aussi" should be "à ta santé aussi" and "c'est la comble" should be "c'est le comble" Thank you!
