My advice to aspiring writers is to write everything down. Whenever a thought, an idea about a book, a poem came to me, I had to write it down immediately so I could hold onto it. When you are serious about writing, you open yourself up to ideas that can be inspired by a person, a song, a picture, and even a dream. Keep a small notebook and a pen next to your bed!
