This is not a question. I have struggled so much with exploring and knowing myself as an individual in this universe (this sounds so existential but I'm existential unfortunately). Your book gave me a clear path on where to start to mentally get better by actually understanding myself. I laughed and cried so hard reading it! It touched me on a very deep level like no other book I have read! Thank you for writing it! ?

Thank you for your kind words! I'm so glad the book resonated with you. If you'd like to hear something similar to the book, you might enjoy my DEAR THERAPISTS podcast, where we do real sessions with real people (like in the book), but you can hear them happening and also get follow ups on what happened after they tried the advice we gave after the session :)

Lori Gottlieb:
I loved your book! It was such an insightful and important read. Seeing the way you talk to your patients and the way Wendell talks to you makes me feel that my therapy experiences were a little lacking. I was given lots of suggestions on what to do, but not WHY there was a problem in the first place. I didn’t have any breakthroughs or learn about myself. How does one find a truly great therapist?

Hi Lori, I was invited to ask you a question because I rated your book with 5 stars. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a private practice in Harrisburg, PA: www.griefrelieftherapy.com. I also am an Instructor in Temple University’s School of Social Work. I have been recommending your book to my students. I think that you did a great job of showing the perspective of being a therapist and being in therapy?
