Goodreads asked Coyte Cooper:

How do you get inspired to write?

Coyte Cooper When starting "Impressions," I initially waiting for inspiration to come so I could start the book. After about a month, I realized I just needed to write so I could build momentum. I committed to writing at least two hours every single day and eventually it got me into a groove and the content started to flow. I realized then that momentum comes when you work at something daily even when you don't feel like it. As you start to realize what you are accomplishing, this inspires you to do more and eventually it adds up to something neat.
