What are some books/authors you enjoy? I'm still reading through past questions & answers here, but it deserves to be asked even if redundant, as I'd be pleased if you have different answers to this same question as time passes. Your GR profile page doesn't list who your influences have been. Please, could you recommend some things we might be satisfied with while we're waiting for more BY you?

Well, Turner, Aaronovitch, Pratchett, Wrede, Kingfisher, and Heyer are all tastes of mine that seem to have crossover for some of my readers. My "My Books" link, above, has reviews of things I've read lately.
For much older influences, Poul Anderson, Eric Frank Russell, Randall Garrett, Fritz Leiber, Cordwainer Smith for sure, and James H. Schmitz might all be mentioned.
Not genre fiction, but Smoke Gets In Your Eyes, which I reviewed somewhere in My Books, was a profoundly excellent fairly recent read.
This seems like a game anyone can play -- I'd invite folks to chime in below in the comments.

Hello Lois! First of all, thank you for your books. I have enjoyed them a lot. Now, my real question/thoughts. The Miles universe is pretty big. The lore is astonishing (and I LOVE a good lore)... But I think it is pretty much there, waiting for a good story to be written. For example, something about Piotr on the First Cetagandan War. Also, how would you feel about opening Miles universe to another author?

Question 2? Have you (or your agent) thought of doing an Ebook box set with the correct reading order and all installments for an easy complete purchase? Even the Ebooks are kind of hard to scour through to find the right ones. I realize this isn't always simple with licensing rights and whatnot. To finish, thanks for writing what is one of my favorite universes to be immersed in. Cheers
