What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Brent Hayward To be honest, I don't often think of myself as 'a writer', per se, though I do spend a fair amount of time hunched over a pc typing away. Anyhow, having said that, the best thing about the writing process is the pleasure I get doing final edits on a manuscript I feel is almost complete. Getting to that point is often somewhat arduous. I like details and nuances. Seeing a book cover for the first time is right up there too, or a book of mine in a bookstore, but that's a different sort of satistaction.
