Hi Joann! I'm so glad to hear that this one is your favorite--and YES Caroline's house is a wonderful museum now called the Bellamy-Ferriday House and Gardens, in Bethlehem, CT. It's a lovely place to visit, owned and operated by CT. Landmarks, and in the spring during lilac time it's incredible there!

Hi Martha! I read your book and enjoyed it very much. I'm a debut author with a completed manuscript. Like your novel, my novel has 3 central characters. I have an editing/agent hunting question for you. My original word count was 200K. With worth-smithing I have cut about 30k. Can I ask what your word count was when you searched for your agent? Thanks in advance for any advice you can give this novice author! :)

Any visits planned locally besides the Vineyard? Loving the book so far - the differences in tone and life between the characters as it jumps from NYC to the war is utterly astounding.
