A little over twenty years ago I was at a family reunion and was given some papers summarizing the history of my Lewis family. Within those papers was a brief biography of my 3rd great-uncle General Lewis, a veteran of the War Between the States.
That story led me on my genealogical journey. In these past twenty odd years I have studied the history of all my known family branches, and delved deeply into the history of my hometown, county, State, and these United States. The information gleaned over the years led directly to the publication of my first book.
