Hi Mariia, Thanks for your question! That feeling first happened when I was nine-years-old writing a story in my closet-sized bedroom. Though I'd never met a writer and my parents didn't know quite what to make of my obsession, once I started, I couldn't be stopped. However, I didn't get the courage to actually name myself a writer until the day (the moment!) when my agent called to say she'd gotten an offer on my first novel.

Hello Patry, I have just finished Orphans. What a beautiful story, well written, engaging, and with well portrayed characters. I read a lot, but I havent read a story I liked this much in a while. In fact, when I keep on thinking about the characters, even during the day, then it means a story really touched me. Did you think the story first, and then the different characters came alive? thank you very much!. Cristina

Good afternoon, Patry! I see that the publisher for "The Liar's Diary" has stopped printing. I found a copy on Amazon, used for $4 but I hate doing that. I'm hoping once it's delivered that the previous owner took good care of it. Would you know where to find a good copy, in the case that it's not taken care of? I loved "The Orphans of Race Point" and I'm eager to read more of your work. Thanks in advance.
