That's the story of Malik, who is now a 20-year-old apprentice to the Jaipur Palace who finds some disturbing secrets and must figure out what to reveal and what to keep to himself in order to protect those he loves. Most of the characters from the first book, including Lakshmi, return in the sequel.
The next sequel, which will complete the trilogy, is yet untitled, but it's the story of Radha as a 30-year-old living in Paris who is on the cusp of creating a signature scent for her master perfumer. She's now married to a Parisian and they have two kids. One day, there's a knock at her door and suddenly, a visitor from her past is standing in front of her! That book will come out in 2022 or thereabouts. Thanks for asking this question because I LOVE answering it. The idea of doing a trilogy came gradually; I didn't know when I started that I would be writing 3 books! :-) Alka

Monterey? My Grandmother grew up in the Cachagua in the Carmel Valley. Stories of living on the farm, protecting her little brother from a mountain lion then building a home in 1931 on Colton St. She was very active in society, the women's club and played bridge like a master. She even met and danced with John Steinbeck. After she passed, my parents lived in that house for years. Good memories!

I just reviewed your debut novel and want to thank you. I devour books like popcorn. Many of them are excellent. Others are just OK. Rarely do I come to the end of the book and sigh with regret that I must leave the characters I have come to love. Thank you for an extraordinary book that left me wanting more.
