I loved Nyxia. Thank you for including all the awesome aspects of science fiction while keeping alive the heart and humanity, and not getting too violent/cold like other books and movies. Was that something you planned on? The series moved me to tears many times and as I was reading I kept pausing to imagine how I would direct Nyxia as a movie, which was super fun. Thank you for these books!!!

Scott Reintgen Honestly, I had planned for the series to edge into that territory. Two things happened. First, Emmett started making friends with other characters. The impact of Kaya and Bilal on him altered some of my plans for the story. It was hard to take him to the territory I'd envisioned with their positive influences, and Emmett's upbringing too. There was also the fact that we had a lot going on in our country at the time. I veered toward something more hopeful with the series conclusion, and I feel good about that decision.
