I preordered your next three books from Barnes and Noble, back in the winter/spring. I keep getting notices that they are being pushed back? Is the problem with B&N or the publisher? I just got a pushback on Hard Time, for Oct. Are you okay?

Hi Michelle, Thanks for your concern - I'm absolutely fine, thank you. I've had several reports about problems in the US - however, everything is fine in the UK and if you want to order your books from my website, you'll get them on time. You will have to pay postage but we do try to keep it to a minimum. The website is:

I have to say, approach the link with caution. I have form in this area. I once directed some extremely enthusiastic readers to a surgical truss site. No one is quite sure what happened but, as you can imagine, no one has ever let me forget that.
Hope this helps to solve your problems. Jodi.

Hi Jodi. Loving the St Mary's series and dreading it coming to an end one day. Zara Ramm's audio versions are first class - she really is Max for me. My question is about Markham. You've written him with a mysterious past right from the beginning and now we know what that past is. But did YOU always know he was one of the princes, or was it something you only decided on when you wrote 'Plan For The Worst'?

Hi Jodi,
I've been wondering about the timelines for both Max's old St Mary's and her new one. Is Isabella was still there, then surely that nasty business in the crutaceous, where she left 4 men to die couldn't have happened? And she probably wouldn't have been on the opposing team at Alexandria? Is that right? Do the two St. Mary's in fact have very different timelines?

I'm just wondering why on earth you chose the name "Sarah Smith" for the biggest bitch since Bitch-Face Barclay. I don't know how deep or wide your familiarity with Doctor Who is, but Sarah *Jane* Smith is one of the most beloved companions the show ever featured; was the name just coincidence?
