W J
W J asked Suki Kim:

Do you still maintain contact with Katie? If so, has she expressed any opinions on your observations in the book, or the fact that you wrote a book at all?

Kathryn
Kathryn asked Suki Kim:

First, thanks for this book. It felt so honest with regards to what you saw and to your own life. Your book makes it clear that you struggled between wanting to enlighten your students and fear that if they knew too much, they could be in danger. If you could say one thing to your students today without ramifications from the DPRK government, what would it be?

Richard Mansel
Richard Mansel asked Suki Kim:

Thank you for your great work in this book. The methods of the North Korean government to infantilize the population were heartbreaking to read. As time passes, what remains precious to you about the indomitable spirit of the North Korean people?
