Goodreads asked Daniel Sage:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Daniel Sage Everyone faces this at one time or another. I even get it sometimes writing a shopping list! But, generally speaking, I take the view that it is a state of mind, a mood, that is best ignored. Otherwise, it can loop in and around itself, magnify for no particular reason, like a nervous tic or like a mild tinnitus ringing in the ears.

The single best way around writer's block, or rather through it, is to focus on a detail, some small aspect of what you are trying to say, or wish to communicate, and begin there. Describe the smallest facet; use simple words; don't worry if it's not quite right. Then, often without even noticing, we find ourselves back in the flow once more, able to corral our ideas and express then fluently, cogently, and all the rest of it.

Writing aspires to this state of flow, like a river or a wind. Writer's block is often but a rock in its way. Be like the ant and march right over it!
