Your books are phenomenal. The series deals with strong, female characters, without the need for a boyfriend or "hero". How did you come up with such a powerful heroine without the need for a strong male lead in/influence?
Gail Carriger
Reality, I suppose. I have adored all of my chosen partners in life, both lovers and friends, and I have been rich and lucky in them all. But I actually also really do enjoy being single. I think it's a viable option for some. I was once asked "what were the two things you will never be." My answer? Bored or lonely.
So far as my characters are concerned I just believe that it's more romantic for a whole, strong, courageous woman to choose to love, than to need to love as part of her identity. Choice is sexy. Desperation is not.

Hello again :). Does Quesnel`s biological father play any role at all? I wonder about his last name being -Lefoux- from the first time we met him in the Parasol Protectorate or how adoption is handled in this world? Besides, I really like your many text layers, hints and clues. Thanks a lot :)

I truly adore your books. Both of your main series delight me fully. The names and some of the character attributes. With the delightful way that you foreshadow and tie things together, is there any hope that we will be seeing more of our dearest Biffy? I do so love his character. After publishing the short about Alexia's father, is there any chance that we will get to see more of his adventures?
