Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Brit Griffin Winters in the north can be long and hard. Sometimes it seems as if rural and remote areas are so cut off and isolated - so what if climate change keeps bringing us harsher weather and longer winters, maybe even winters than never end. How would tough, resilient northerners cope on a new frontier when the resources of the north are in demand in the crowded, chaotic cities, but the people of the north are a liability. This speculation gave me the idea for the 'Northern'.
