Why do your stories involve a woman with a supernatural connection to nature?

Melanie Murphy Hey! Thanks for the question. For years I have believed that nature possesses inherent magic (if such a thing exists)--it's there in the perfection of the leaves on the trees, the pull of the current, the richness of the soil. It's mesmerizing. In my writing, I push the boundaries on that. Imagine a person...a woman...had a connection to nature on an even deeper level. What could happen if the trees could tell their stories, or the waves could speak, in a sense? Because nature is so fundamental to my life, it seemed logical to write stories exploring it.
