Patrick Driscoll
Patrick Driscoll asked Rob Blackwell:

Are there any other Soren Chase stories or was Closed at Dark the first? Patrick Driscoll

Rob Blackwell Hey, Patrick, thanks for the question!

The answer is a little bit tricky, so bear with me. Yes, there are more Soren Chase stories, but "Closed at Dark" is the only one released at the moment. But more stories are coming soon! "The Forest of Forever," which is currently part of the Kindle Scout program, is a full length novel which is due out next month. You can see more about it (and vote for it please!) here: http://bit.ly/FoFScout. If "Forest of Forever" gets enough votes, anyone who supported it will get it for free.

Chronologically speaking, "Closed at Dark" comes about six months before "The Forest of Forever," so it could be regarded as the "first" in the series. But importantly, "The Forest of Forever" doesn't assume anybody's read the novella, and because it's a novel as opposed to novella, it's considered the "first" in the series.

My intent here is to allow a reader to read either book in any order without feeling like they are missing something. But for the purposes of character chronology, "Closed at Dark" came first and "Forest of Forever" comes later.

If that's not enough, there's also a third work in the series, called "Carnival of Stone," which is due out early next year.

I feel like I've given a simple question a strangely complicated answer, but hopefully that all makes sense. Hope you enjoy the book/series!
