What made you interested to write about the Amish?

Mary B. Barbee Great question! It was a dear friend of mine that triggered a domino effect, actually. One day in conversation she mentioned how much she loved reading Amish cozy mysteries - and I was instantly intrigued. Since I had never heard of a so-called "Amish cozy mystery," I purchased novels written by Laura Bradford and Samantha Price right away, and devoured them in record time. Their wonderful stories inspired me to create The Amish Lantern Mystery Series where the wise women in the community (also twin sisters) serve as amateur women sleuths.
