I read The Henna Artist and The Secret Keeper of Jaipur over four days this week and loved every bit of it. I can't wait to journey back into Lakshmi's world to see how she and her wonderful family are doing. Will you bring her sister back to India in the next story? Will Samir tell Nikki who he is? Will Ravi finally get his comeuppance? Please keep writing - you do it so beautifully.

You're cracking me up, Kaye! Book #3 is about Radha in 1974, so a lot of your questions will be answered by the book (I don't have a title yet; my working title is Radha in Paris). She's a perfumer living in Paris with her husband and two daughters when she is finally given an exclusive assignment: designing a signature scent for a mysterious client. At the same time, she will be visited by someone she hasn't seen in 18 years, giving her the shock of her life! You are so kind to let me know you're looking forward to more because these characters will not leave me alone :-)

Can you truly understand what it is like for a woman growing up in India when you left at such an early age? One Indian reviewer said you wrote for white women, not for what it was like for true Indian women. "I found the narrator, Lakshmi Shastri, a henna artist who reads Dickens and Jane Austen, rather unbelievable. Her explanations on what Indians do and don’t do seem written for that white woman audience."

Hello Mrs. Joshi, I bought the Audible version of, “The Henna Artist,” and I too loved it! I had it devoured over three evenings before bed. So well written, I could actually visualize so many of these scenes and I’ve never been to India. Any book I can visualize is well written. Q? Are the cast systems still in place as much as they used to be in India? Seems sad when I hear about how when someone is born into a cast
