Goodreads asked K.I. Frederick:

How do you get inspired to write?

K.I. Frederick I used to set a rule for myself: every day that it rained, I would write. At first, there was no amount on how much I would write, I would just work on something.

Then, my fellow authors in our little cohort were talking about word counts. I decided to set another rule: 500 words written, every time it rained. Then it became 1,000. And soon, once I got that literary ball rolling, I was making myself write 1,000 words every single day.

It's not all good, but I love getting words down on digital paper. It makes me feel accomplished, even if I have to go back later and fix half of them!
