Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

A.N. Boyden I started writing Spouse Swap in late 2019 and finished it in 2020. I had been a fan of the series "Wife Swap" many, many years ago when the show first came out. I always felt they didn't do it justice, and the lessons learned and the experiences were all very surface level. I come from a background in Sociology and having a deep understanding of households and the dynamics are always something that stood out to me, especially when it comes to gender roles in the home. In Spouse Swap, I wanted to prolong that experience and really immerse and commit the spouses to their respective roles. I wanted to have a successful WOC as the main character because there are not enough of them in literature if I'm honest.
